Whether you’ve been a follower of Jesus all your life, or you’re an interested observer who’d like to know more about Christianity—or anywhere in between—we’d be glad to have you come for our service on Sunday. Our doors are wide open to the committed and the curious.
A typical Sunday morning
New Hope meets for worship on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am at 11400 Shirley Gate Court in Fairfax, where we share a building with Fairfax Korean Church. Our service runs from 9:00 am to 10:30 am.
Our sermons usually follow a series in which we make our way through a book of the Bible, though sometimes we’ll take a few Sundays to explore a biblical theme or topic that seems timely.
We sing a mix of historic and contemporary hymns and songs, and we celebrate the Lord’s Supper each week.
Got little ones? A nursery is available during the service, staffed by several background-checked New Hope members, for parents who need it.
What to wear? Don’t sweat it. Some folks come dressed up, but most come in more casual attire. You’ll fit right in.
After the service
When our service is over, we break for refreshments until 11:00 am, and then we take our seats again for a discussion of that morning’s sermon led by the preacher. This gives everybody a chance to ask questions and make observations about what we’ve heard from God’s Word and how it ought to shape our lives.
While this discussion is going on, we’ve also got Sunday school classes available for elementary and high school age kids.
Monday through Saturday
There are plenty of study and fellowship opportunities for New Hope members and visitors throughout the week. Join us on Sunday, and these will be announced with all the details you need to know to get involved.
